Batter up! MLB’s 2022 Home Run Derby

Juan Soto, 23, is this year's 2022 Home Run Derby champion. He is the second-youngest player to win the championship.

Soto turned down a 15-year, $440 million contract from the Washington Nationals last week.

In the final round, Seattle rookie Julio Rodriguez faced off against Soto, losing by one home run. Soto hit 19 home runs, while Rodriguez hit 18.

Pujols was defeated by Rodriguez in the second round. Last week, Pujols announced that this will be his final season on The Show.

In the second round, Mets slugger Pete Alonso was defeated by Soto. Soto hit 16 home runs, while Alonso hit 15.

Corey Seager was knocked out in the first round after facing Julio Rodriguez.

After hitting 17 home runs against Juan Soto, Jose Ramirez was eliminated in the first round. Soto scored 18 points.

Albert Pujols defeated Kyle Schwarber in the first round. Schwarber slugged 19 home runs. Pujols scored 20 runs.

Pete Alonso defeated Ronald Acuna in the first round. Acuna slugged 19 home runs. Alonso scored 20 points.
